Entela.

How we work

Clarity before commitment.

If you are not ready for a conversation yet, this page explains what working with Entela actually involves: what happens, in what order, and what you can expect at each stage.

The short version

Entela works with organisations and individuals through the transitions that most often cost women their careers: maternity, return to work, menopause, and the quieter moments where progression stalls.

The work is structured but not rigid. Every engagement starts small, gives you something useful in its own right, and only moves deeper where there is a genuine reason to.

There is no pressure at any stage. The first conversation is free, and it is normal to take time to think after it.

For organisations

Consultancy follows three stages. Each one stands alone, and nothing commits you to the next.

1. Readiness

A free 30-minute call

A structured conversation, where we use five or six diagnostic questions to look at your gender pay gap planning, maternity and return-to-work support, menopause provision, and flexible working in practice. You leave with an honest sense of where your gaps are likely to be, whether or not we ever speak again.

2. Audit

Understanding what is really happening

If a deeper look would be useful, the audit examines three things: what your policies say, what your data shows, and what your people actually experience. The result is a written report with priority risks, opportunities, and recommended next steps. Many organisations stop here, with a clear picture and an internal plan. That is a good outcome.

3. Action

Only what the audit justifies

Where the findings point to it, we move into practical work: rewriting policies so managers can actually use them, building your Gender Equality Action Plan, training managers, or supporting wider implementation. The scope is always agreed in writing first, and it is always grounded in what the audit found rather than what is easiest to sell.

A note on boundaries: Entela provides strategic and practical support, not legal advice. Where compliance is complex, we will say so and recommend legal review alongside the work.

For individuals

Coaching is simpler, and deliberately so.

A free conversation first. Thirty minutes to talk through where you are, what feels difficult, and whether coaching is the right kind of support. Sometimes it is not, and we will say so.

Then six sessions, held fortnightly or monthly. One-to-one, confidential, and shaped around what you need rather than a fixed programme. Sessions can take place online or in person depending on location.

Then a review. We look at what has shifted and decide together whether to continue, pause, or finish. Coaching that runs on without purpose serves the coach, not the client.

What is it like to work with Entela?

The work is grounded in evidence: behavioural science, workforce data, and fifteen years of leadership experience in policy and complex systems. It is also human. You will not encounter jargon, performative frameworks, or pressure to buy more than you need.

If something is outside our expertise, we will tell you. If a smaller piece of work would serve you better than a larger one, we will recommend the smaller one.

When you are ready.

The next step, whenever it suits you, is a free conversation. No preparation needed, no obligation afterwards.
